Essence of Religion

The basic essence of  Religion lies in a set of rules for proper living by using the reference to an epitome of purity known as God & all of his Mythological stories for imbibing moral values into people written probably by some genius minds based on either a real or an imaginary character. The existence of God is what everyone feels fashionable to question forgetting the actual essence of Religion.

The purpose of Religion is lost if it doesnt serve the purpose of 'Humanity' & 'Righteousness'.If there are Religious traitors who can manipulate religious writings for their selfish needs, are we so uneducated to dance to their violent music? No Religion preaches that it is the greatest- So never live in false pride of proving that you belong to the best religion in the world. Religion is just a purifier and enhancer of your inate wisdom.

Curious to know why everyone wants to so much listen to the slokas of  Bhagwadgita from Swamijis,I once asked my Grandfather, 'What the basic esssence of 'Bhagvadgita' is?' He shortly replied ' Whenever you want to worship Lord , you can find him in the masses of poor'. (Manava Sevey Madhava Seva).That single line gave me the essence of Religion with an optimistic view to read a little more of the writings whenever possible to check how much we could get influenced positively from them.I am preety sure every religion has the same essence too.

Recalling what Swami Vivekananda spoke at 'Parliament of world Religions' in 1883 @ Chicago :

"As the different streams having their sources in different paths which men take through different tendencies, various though they appear, crooked or straight, all lead to Thee."

Lets stop fighting amongst ourselves on who's the best & start fighting with our inner selves to become our best.

Humanity is the greatest Religion.
