Journey of JAN LOKPAL - JAI ANNA !!

Such a wonderful feeling to watch the UPA govt. buckling down to Pressure and day by day compromising on their initially projected strong stands and accepting one by one almost all points of the Civil Society's proposed JAN LOKPAL version of bill to be introduced in Parliament subjected to discussion & final call to be taken by the Lok Sabha tentatively in this winter session itself.

When carefully followed the whole journey of Lokpal...
Firstly Govt.s no intention shown at all to atleast introduce this bill in Parliament firstly...until the first fast of Anna at Jantar Mantar gathering unexpected amount of momentum.

After promises from Govt. ,and a combined panel of civil society and govt.'s meetings being a failure...No consensus between two parties... Then comes the first weak bill as a trap by the govt. that they are wanting to pass the bill ... but people werent foolish enough to accept for a weak bill which will yet again be a mere piece of paper just as many other laws in our country.

Later on with so many critics pointing out that this time ANNA will fail in his movement against JAN LOKPAL ... But the 16th August to 25th August 2011 movement was one of the greatest movements the modern societies would have ever witnessed. The awakening of the common man of India to fight against their selfishness & Corrupt minds ... and the urge to see a Corrupt Free India !! :):) Here again Govt. in total panic mode after total melodramatic meetings every damn day between two parties.
Govt. somehow manages to end the Logjam with their troubleshooter Pranab Mukerjee getting them partially out from the crisis situation.

Then the Standing Committee says leave it to us ,Believe in us we will give a strong bill...... These meetings actually turn out to be much better than the earlier ones . Consensus does arrive on some issues. Slowly starts the decrease in strength of govt.s firmness on contentious isssues like PM under Lokpal,Citizens charter(3 lakh group C govt. employees should also come under Lokpal).all this just because of the govt.s fears of warnings from TEAM ANNA threatening for another fast from December month end.

One of the major contentious issue being CBI should be under LOKPAL or not , Even in that case now the Govt. has come down to a point that cases reported by LOKPAL to CBI , CBI would report to LOKPAL panel , but all other cases CBI will be a independent body. The very demand of CBI to come under Lokpal by civil society is for it to be a corrupt free organisation and not be a puppet in hands of the ruling govt.s

With the announcements coming about the main LOKPAL panel will have Lok Sabha Speaker, PM , Leader of Opposition and one civil society member as its head.Politically there are many chances of Opposition also to facilitate this bill.

Whatever be the firm points which TEAM ANNA were specific about having in LOKPAL , for now , in practical scenario .... Critics of Team Anna ,Pls compare for yourself what was the version of bill said by the govt. .... What is the version of JAN LOKPAL bill being shaped out now to be introduced by Govt. into Parliament ?? Would this have happened without the threatening as ull call by team anna( my way or high way or whatever shit as the media quotes and countless allegations of team anna by UPA to tarnish their image in public in case of subsiding people's involvement for a future movement).

If today there was no Right to Information act (RTI) .. Chidu's role in 2g scam being looked upon just by a notice of a fairly ordinary man 'Subramanyam Swami' wouldnt have taken place.So many corruption cases in states & at centre wouldnt have even come into picture without RTI or successful LOKAYUKTAS in many states.

WHAT HAS HAPPENED TODAY IN THE PROCESS OF STRIVING FOR A STRONG LOKPAL IS A SPECTACLE TO WATCH ....... AN ANSWER TO ALL PESSIMISTS THAT OPTIMISM DOES EXIST WITH CORRUPT FREE MINDS WORKING FOR THE FUTURE OF A COUNTRY WHO'S DESTINY COULD BE DECIDED ON WHAT ACTIONS IT TAKES TO CURB CORRUPTION.

For this aspect words fall short to praise what ANNA HAZARE , an 85 year old veteran has done for the country .... Half of his age when most of us would retire from Lives to sit back,relax and enjoyy our luxuries !!!

However, Implementation and use of the law effectively is something we common man should be committed to.

INDIA IS SHINING .... JAN LOKPAL could well be the beginning of wonders happening in a sense of corrupt minds being punished , and the others fearing to even think of being Corrupt.

JAI HIND .... JAI ANNA ..... JAI JAN LOKPAL !! :)

FDI- Foreign Direct Investment or Farmers Dread Indeed??

FDI - That has been the talk of the town in INDIA from almost a fortnight!! 9 days since the parliament has been adjourned because of this issue,PM for a change seen preety strong saying there are no chances of rollback from the issue.Never ending debates in Indian Media over it with Ground reports and Expert Speaks every day & Night.

Sectors affected : Farmers , Retailers , Politicians , High class Consumers.

While there is a strong perception that Farmers will loose it completely if 'Wallmarts' come into India.There is another view saying that 'Productivity would increase as in , tons/acre produced would increase because quality consciousness will increase and farming reforms will happen. Though there is ground report from Punjab who have to an extent implemented this say that Farmers have gained more.

'The chain of Farmers < Middle men < wholesalers < Retailers < Wallmart < Consumers,Hence cutting off the middle men cost'. Even the benefited Farmers say they are a little doubtful on how much their profits would be squeezed with more no. of retail chains coming in. Many diplomats say 'Retail chains have never benefitted farmers in any country - take eg. of USA , China etc etc. & we cannot afford to make our Farmers lose in our primarily Agricultural economy.'

With good bill as in 75% of the raw materials should be taken from farmers of India & most importantly sticking to those percentages and policing constantly that this is not violated by the Retail chains ... Do the farmers have to gain a lot more than what they get now??

There was an intial statement by PM saying 'State governments could well take their individual decision over FDI.Over 15 states have already put forward their view of 'A BIG NO TO FDI'

The LOGJAM over FDI could well be worked out by UPA,with PM preety firm on getting FDI passed ... but how about the apprehensions of people,Farmers and Retailers???

Raising to Intenational standards OR risking the future of Farmers???
